Boston and the War

Unlike Larry the Cucumber, I now HAVE been to Boston in the fall.

The picture is from the Boston Tea Party Museum. That’s Sam Adams in high dudgeon, urging us (the collected Sons & Daughters of Liberty) to dispense with his majesty’s tea. “Taxation without representation is TYRANNY!”

And this is Lexington Battle Green, where 100-odd minutemen faced Pitcairn’s troops in the first battle of the Revolutionary War. “If they mean to have a war, let it begin here.”
