The Current Political Climate

I posted a series of tweets this morning about the current political climate.

1. Regardless of which side of the political divide you’re on, realize that there’s a spiritual side to this anger, fear, resentment, hate.

  1. 2. Whatever you believe about God: according to the Bible, this is how the Adversary attacks. “Our struggle is not against flesh & blood…”

  2. 3. …but against the rulers & authorities & cosmic powers of this dark age.” (Eph 6.12) If that’s true, the other side is not your enemy.

  3. 4. OUR enemy, collectively, is the spirit that inflames the anger & stirs up old hurts & hatreds & prejudices so that we can’t even bear …

  4. 5. …to be around anyone, even family members, who disagrees with us about our “deeply held convictions.”

  5. 6. It’s not your deeply held convictions that make you cut people off. It’s Satan, preying on your fears & wounds & self-righteousness.
