Last fall, I spent 15 October – 14 December in Zagreb, Croatia, working with Biblijski Institut (the Biblical Institute.) BI trains ministers & church workers for the evangelical churches of Croatia and Central Europe.
On January 1st, I was named president & director of the Institute. Over the next couple of months, I will be transitioning into that role as the current president & director, Tom Sibley, is transitioning into a new role as Director of Spiritual Life.
I expect that, as it develops, Dr Sibley will also be in charge of external relations (churches & alumni) and Big Ideas.
Beth & I will be moving to Zagreb at the end of February. We’ll hit the ground running; during my first full week of work, BI will be hosting an accreditation visit.
We covet your prayers as we begin this new ministry.
Go to it man! Praying God’s great blessings!!

Congrats. Training Europeans at this point in time is a valuable calling.

Thanks. Even though Croatia & other parts of Europe are historically Christian, the continent is mostly unchurched/dechurched, by modern evangelical standards.
Our estimate is that there are between 4,000 and 5,000 active evangelical Christians in Croatia. That amounts to 1 person out of every 1,000 Croatians.
