If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to?

My life’s mission is to strengthen the churches in Croatia & the former Yugoslavia. So if I had a million dollars to give, that’s what I’d give it to.

My wish list, off the top of my head:

1. Purchase & renovate a property in Zagreb center to serve as a permanent library & classroom there for BIZG.
2. Scholarships for pastors in our region to take seminary classes. Most of them are bivocational, so scholarships would include support for living expenses.
3. Start an endowment for BIZG, to help us through financial problems like the current exchange rate crunch. (If you don’t know: the US dollar has lost about 20% of its value against the euro this year, which is killing organizations that depend on American donations.)

#1 would take more than a million USD.

A million USD would accomplish #3, but more would be better.

#2 would require careful administration, but it would be a great investment in the future of the churches. It could be done for maybe $100k per year, or even less.
